Your life doesn’t suck. You’re probably just taking it too seriously.
Think about everything you stress over. Your credit score. Your job title. The rules at the company you work for.
Someone made all of it up.
A credit score is a number someone invented to decide how trustworthy you are. A company is a group of people who wrote a set of rules and asked everyone to follow them.
None of it is natural law, and we treat it like life or death.
“F**k it” energy is what happens when you finally see that.
What “f**k it” energy actually is
It’s not being careless, and it’s not giving up. It’s caring less about the made-up rules and more about the life you actually want.
It’s the person who says yes to the trip, sends the email, and starts the project without needing a guarantee.
Nobody has the manual
The people who seem to have it figured out are improvising too. We’re all on a rock floating through space, making it up as we go.
Once you accept that, “what will people think?” loses its power.
Drop the importance
There’s another side to this.
In Reality Transurfing, Vadim Zeland calls it importance. The more weight you put on an outcome, the tighter you grip it. And the tighter you grip, the more it slips away. He describes it as “balancing forces” pushing back against inflated importance.
Think about the date you needed to go perfectly, or the job you couldn’t stop obsessing over. The gripping itself creates desperation, and desperation is hard to be around.
But when you can truly go either way, when you’d be happy if it happens and fine if it doesn’t, something shifts. You relax. You act more freely. And in my experience, the outcomes you want start finding you.
That’s “f**k it” energy at its deepest level. It’s not not caring. It’s wanting something fully without needing it to be okay.
Try this: before the interview, the post, or the hard conversation, tell yourself, “I’d be okay either way.” Then mean it.
Note: Reality Transurfing is a book I recommend to anyone wanting to manifest their desires - link here. I talk about Reality Transurfing more in this post:
5 ways to get more “f**k it” energy
1. Do one spontaneous thing a week
Take the different road. Say yes to the invite. Book the trip. Small acts of spontaneity rebuild the muscle.
2. Ask “what’s the worst that could happen?” and answer it honestly
Most of the time, it’s embarrassment or a “no.” You’ll survive both.
3. Question one rule you follow
Ask who made it up and whether it serves you. Keep it or drop it.
4. Take the outrageous goal seriously, and yourself lightly
Write down the big goal you’re almost embarrassed to say out loud. Then go after it like an experiment instead of a verdict.
5. Lower the stakes on purpose
Wear the outfit. Post the video. Send the message. Done is better than perfect.
Life is made up. Make it good.
